Love it. Wide variety of songs and great composing tool as well for adding songs. For compositions could you add more time signatures 2/4, 6/8 and maybe even ties/holds which could be shown in game as a long press. Also the timing is messed up when playing the game it should leave the rests/pauses in so it can play like the preview not rush the next notes as mentioned by Catalinas review. Other than that great app keep up the good work.

I love the Magic Piano by Smule app, but I'm only giving it 4 stars because I've noticed the instrument options seem to be missing. Previously, there was a variety of sounds available like harpsichord, organ, and harp, allowing for fun experimentation beyond just the piano sound. Now, I can't find these options anymore, which is quite disappointing. Did the creators remove these different instrument sound options?

Years ago, the notes traveled at a consistent pace, and would only speed up or slow down if the pace at which you played sped up or slowed down. This was an ideal system! That is no longer the case. EDIT: a year and a half later, as well as a report to Smule support, and nothing has changed. Any rests longer than a quarter note speeds the next note to you at maximum speed, forcing you to either play the song incorrectly or take a points penalty.
