Why is OnePlus Bud installed in my phone?
The interaction between OnePlus smartphones and our newly-introduced true wireless headset is tied with several system settings. To ensure a seamless experience, we pre-installed the OnePlus Buds app in the latest stable updates for OnePlus 6 and above devices.

Horrible! It took me 15 minutes to connect buds z on my 7T, then accidentally forgot device and it will not reconnect for the past 30 minutes. On Nord it connected immediately. FIX IT!!! Update: for all who might have connection problem, I managed to connect my 7T by pressing the connect button until the light becomes white, BUT DIDN'T press the add device in Bluetooth settings. It then recognized it. If you press the add, it adds it without the special functions for each bud.

I really like the OnePlus buds and in my opinion the base is better than that of the Galaxy Buds. But the big thing I am missing is the luxury/options like on the Galaxy Buds app. For example controlling functions like tap once, twice and hold. As of now you can only change tap twice. I would really like to see this in a future software update. This is the biggest issue for me.

This really should be an individual/standalone app, not an addition in the Bluetooth menu. It's just a bad and unintuitive user experience. As an individual app, we could place it on the home screen, create shortcuts, or it could even have interactive widgets. Overall, it works OK, but the implementation could be a lot better.
