About this game

Play a crossover variation of Sudoku and Kakuro! SumSudoku, also known as Killer Sudoku, are addictive logic puzzles best described as a cross between Sudoku and Kakuro. Using pure logic and simple add/subtract calculations, these fascinating puzzles offer endless fun and intellectual entertainment to puzzle fans of all skills and ages.

Each puzzle consists of a 9x9 Sudoku grid containing areas surrounded by dark borders. The object is to fill all empty squares so that the numbers 1 to 9 appear exactly once in each row, column and 3x3 box, and the sum of the numbers in each area is equal to the clue in the area's top-left corner. In addition, no number may be used in the same area more than once.

The game includes helpful features such as showing possible sum number combinations in an area and pencilmarks to make temporary placement of numbers in the grid. To help see the puzzle progress, graphic previews in the puzzle list show the progress of all puzzles in a volume as they are being solved. A Gallery view option provides these previews in a larger format.

For more fun, SumSudoku contains no ads and includes a Weekly Bonus section providing an extra free puzzle each week.

I really enjoy the game, but the price for more puzzles is extremely high. If you were to purchase every volume, the total comes out to more than $500. Would love to see a much cheaper option. I could see spending between $10 and $15 for all puzzles, but I don't think it's worth it to buy anything with the current pricing system.

Thank you for your feedback. Our policy is to provide high quality puzzles in a relaxed atmosphere without the interruption of ads. To enable us support this app and provide more puzzles we need to charge for each puzzle pack what we hope is fair compared to what we put in. We hope you understand our situation and continue to play these puzzles.

Love this game, but would like the option of a hint on the Killers without requiring "auto-fill" When I've already eliminated most of the extraneous possibilities, why can't a hint take me from that point, instead of having to repeat every option. -- Thank you for your response, but when I already have the squares marked manually with everything but what I have already logically eliminated, there should be the possibility of a hint based on my current markings, instead of repeating the obvious

In some cases it is necessary to see all the pencilmark hints in order to understand why a certain hint was suggested. If the game "just shows a hint" without any reasoning then this is just a spoiler or to come users won't make any sense.

Good interface, easy to use, but has had at least 2 puzzles with 2 solutions and only 1 will register despite both being valid. Edit: Okay, listen, with constraint propagation and dancing links and other methodologies, if you have a symmetrical cage layout (corner to opposite corner), it is possible to get 2 solutions while going undetected. I don't remember which puzzles they were, I just finally got around to writing a review. I will send one if I find another.

Thank you, and please send us the 2 screenshots to support@conceptispuzzles.com next time you see there are 2 solutions. This will help us resolve this issue.
