Lichess is hands down the best chess app available, and it’s completely free! The platform offers everything a chess player could need: high-quality AI analysis powered by Stockfish, unlimited puzzles, and a user-friendly interface. I especially love how simple and clean the design is—nothing gets in the way of the gameplay.

amazing app, great tournaments. also the app provides access to game variations and puzzles, it gives you access to the free analysis engine (right after the game - like on che.ss com but frreeee). the only thing i don't like in the android app: UX prevents you from playing bullet >2min games - premoves are bound to the last piece you touched, and in general the app is not the fastest fox. I really would spend twice more time here with some responsiveness improvements. still a tremendous app

App UI is unusable in minute or less time formats. Bad touch detection. I'm better off using the web, but even there, the UI is cluttered and screen will scroll if I accidentally touch anything near the game board. All of that stuff should be collapsed below the board where it can't accidentally be touched during a game. The game view shouldn't be able to accidentally scroll, period. Chat should lose focus on new opponent otherwise it auto scrolls you back down during moves. So ridiculous.
